Arthur and Eames

Arthur and Eames have been partners for longer than they've been with the organization. Both started out as criminals in two different fields, but the word of dream sharing brought them together. Arthur, a brilliant tactician, and Eames, a forger in every sense and meaning of the word, started out almost adversarial. One crisp and sharp with a military precision and the other messy and wild and dangerous in other ways they found it interesting to work with one another, to say the least.

In the end though they learned that friction between them was all about attraction and once they opened up to one another, the world for them changed.

Now they've walked away from dream share to work for an organization that keeps America safe, protects its people, and lets them do what they do best. Subvert criminals by twisting the law.

Everyone knows they're not just partners in the work sense but in every sense. In love. Devoted to one another. Able to read the other without a word, Barely with even a look. They're not as tightly wound as some in the Ravens, and certainly cause a lot of trouble in different ways, but they're good at what they do... and they're feared by those that know the truth of who and what they are.

Arthur nods. Meridian's words don't phase him and the truth was, they probably would have been their next job if it'd gone down that way.

Though, had they found out the reason, Arthur's not sure he would have faulted Meridian even then. If anything were to happen to Eames, he'd be exactly the same way.

"I respect that. It'd be no less than what either of us would have done in the same shoes."

He looks around the room then at Meridian. "Want to shoot off anything or go meet up with the other two?"

"It was one of my favorite places before we started this work, but I can admit now that was because I was hiding out. I needed to avoid the world where a friend wasn't anymore and it allows you to be free of the rest of the world. No one looks for you there."

He pauses, giving a fond smile as his gaze seems to track to where Arthur is. "Well, most don't."

That reassurance makes him smile wider and focus on Ex. "I hope to hear from you. Now come, on, let's go find the other two and see what they're destroying for fun and entertainment."

He considers Arthur for a long moment before he says what he's feeling. "If ever comes to it, don't hesitate. Okay?" It's a suicide switch and he knows it. More than that, he's okay with it.

Meridian looks at the range and the weapons, and there is a longing in his voice but he looks back to Arthur and his tones have no hesitation. "I'd like to find Ex. If that works for you."

He suspects it will, but he understands his situation is currently unique. At least in his mind.

Arthur studies Meridian for a long minute before giving him a nod. "I won't. Not that I need to say it but, same." He's heard stories of Meridian and Ex, there was never a hesitation in their actions.

He nods at the answer. It was expected and he understands it completely. "Of course, let's go find them," he says and lets Meridan exit the room first so he can shut the light off, making their way back up to the main level of the house.

"Marco," he calls with a twist of his mouth, calling for Eames but walking in the direction he thought he'd find their partners.

"But he found you, didn't he," Ex asks when Eames' gaze goes elsewhere and allows a little smile. He knows that Mere is the only one that always knows where to find him and he never once hides his location from his partner. Mere may have never been to Atlanta with him but he never hides that he's there from him.

He chuckles low. "I have no doubt you will."

Even as Eames says finding the other two, he hears a 'Marco' from somewhere in the house. "Looks like they're finding us first."

He's not surprised to hear it. In the short time they've been together he's known that what he's sought with Ex is what Arthur and Eames have. It's a chance to have that same for himself and Ex, to see how they make it work... and to know there's someone else there if things go sideways. He appreciates that.

Meridian heads out into the house, finding himself giving a sound that is odd for him. A sharp laugh at Arthur calling out like that from the children's game.

From somewhere deep within the house came a single word.

"Polo!"
