Arthur rests his hand on top of Eames' and squeezes it. The mere thought of losing Eames and not having him with him feels like a punch to the gut. If he were to ever lose Eames, there would be no saving whoever had come after them.
Ex watches him and reaches for Mere's hand under the table, needing that connection with him knowing how close they were to losing it all.
"Reminders of our mortality are unnecessary," he mutters but he nods at Eames' words.
He remains quiet for a minute as he takes another drink of his beer. "Do you find it hard to control yourselves in wanting to be together when you're active?" Ex's voice is low as he asks, watching Arthur then Eames.
