Arthur and Eames

Arthur and Eames have been partners for longer than they've been with the organization. Both started out as criminals in two different fields, but the word of dream sharing brought them together. Arthur, a brilliant tactician, and Eames, a forger in every sense and meaning of the word, started out almost adversarial. One crisp and sharp with a military precision and the other messy and wild and dangerous in other ways they found it interesting to work with one another, to say the least.

In the end though they learned that friction between them was all about attraction and once they opened up to one another, the world for them changed.

Now they've walked away from dream share to work for an organization that keeps America safe, protects its people, and lets them do what they do best. Subvert criminals by twisting the law.

Everyone knows they're not just partners in the work sense but in every sense. In love. Devoted to one another. Able to read the other without a word, Barely with even a look. They're not as tightly wound as some in the Ravens, and certainly cause a lot of trouble in different ways, but they're good at what they do... and they're feared by those that know the truth of who and what they are.

"I want you to look amazing," he admits. "I just want to see you in color," he adds, still thinking about the rest. He sighs.

"I swear I just saw Ex down that alley with some large bastard in a singlet. Never seen Meridian like that but had to be him, right?"

He makes a face. "I guess there's no other place that bastard gets his suits, right?"

"What, I don't always look amazing," he teases him. "Looking forward to seeing how the red looks though."

Arthur blinks. "If there's one of them then that's the other or the other isn't too far away. From what I know and understand, they're rarely without one another close by. So yeah, that's probably Meridian."

His mouth curls up when Eames makes a face. "It is the best place to get a bespoke suit. I admire his taste."

"Don't even play that game with me," he snorts, rolling his eyes. "You are literally a Greek statue mixed with Roman coins. You're stunning all the time."

And he utterly and wholly believed that.

He rolls his eyes. "I know this isn't our home base, but doesn't that bother you? I mean, they're just what? On vacation?"

"I'm pretty sure the only Greek statue I see is you," he says, looking at Eames with a look. Eames has long since been the most attractive man he's seen.

He snorts. "Are they not allowed a vacation," he asks with a smirk. "Rumor is that Ex took a bad injury and was given twelve weeks. It's been... 7-8 weeks now? Yeah, I'd say they're doing a few things before going back on active. Like we do. Though, Paris isn't usually on their hit list."

"Then look in a mirror more," he says with a snort and a roll of his eyes.

"No, no they're not. Meridian is literally an inhuman apparition made from anger and spite," he says, trying hard not to grin. "Apparitions don't need a vacation."

Though he can't help but snort and level Arthur a look. "Really? You think he materializes those suits out of smoke and mirrors. He comes here regularly. We just don't ever see them. See? Apparition."

"I love that you think so," Arthur says with a grin. "Even if I'm more twink-like than a buff Adonis..." he pauses and frowns, "and not that Adonis either."

He snorts. "Everyone can use a vacation even apparitions and men like us who work a little too much. Or perhaps that's just me."

"Well obviously now I know but it's hardly ever pinged here... which is interesting in of itself. I'll have to look into that. Later." Though, he'd also heard the rumors about them and knew they could hide their tracks just about better than anyone.

"No one that has ever known you for more than five minutes wouldn't call you a twink. You would murder them in a breath, after all."

And he isn't at all bothered by that either. He loves that part about him as much as anything else.

"I turn everything into a vacation, as you well know." He played as hard as he worked, after all.

"Makes you wonder how often we crossed paths with them without noticing, huh?" He pauses before adding. "Guess its a good thing they didn't walk in when we were alone, hmmm?"

Arthur snorts and sends him an amused look. "I would," he agrees, glad that his partner was more than okay with that part of him and loved him for it.

"You do," he says, his tone fond. It was helpful to have someone like Eames who reminded him to play and enjoy his downtime with how hard he worked. There was a balanced that they've worked hard to master in all the years they've been together.

He hums. "It really does," he agrees and catches himself grinning. "As if it would have mattered if they walked in while we were alone." He leans in and playfully bites at his bottom lip.

"Come on, let's get home so I can return the favor, hm?"

"And I would stand by and watch proudly," he admits, sounding smug even. He's so proud of the amazing and dangerous man that Arthur is. More than that, he's proud because Arthur is his.

"You need the reminders, Love. Now, come on," he says, catching Arthur's hand and drawing him in close. "Let's get home and show me how grateful you are."

Heading for the door, just glad to have Arthur at his side as always. Even if Paris is bittersweet sometimes these days.

"We should stop at La Goutte d'Or Patisserie for those little madelines that Mal loved so much."

"Among one of my favorite things about you," Arthur says, his tone amused. He's not sure what it says about him that he loves the fact that they're two powerful and deadly men who are committed to one another.

His mouth curls up and laces their fingers together. "I seem to remember someone mentioning being naked for twenty four hours," he teases, letting Eames lead them out.

"We should," he says, glancing at Eames. "It's only right that we should have a little piece of her here." She was a big reason for how far the two of them went in dream share.

"We have a week now. So you naked for twenty four hours seems next to nothing," he points out, but he loves it. They have time, and they're together and in Paris. What else could he want?

"She's why I have you," he says, pulling Arthur in close with that hold on his hand, leaning into the man he loves so deeply. "So I will always do what I can to honor her. By loving you."

It's the one thing he will do for the rest of his life.

"I'm open to further negotiations," he says with a little smirk. They have the time to spare. They were given three weeks before they were put back on active - a decent break after the hellacious job they were given. They still had the personal time in the Louve they needed to pull off.

Arthur leans into Eames with a soft exhale. "She's why I have you," he admits, letting his hand go so he can wrap his arm around Eames' waist. There had been no one else in his life who was as important as Eames had become to him.

"Let's get back to the room and get naked and see where things go," he says with a soft murmur, sliding his arm around his partner and draws him in close. He just thinks about Paris and how they met, and how they got to this place where they are.

He smiles as he holds Arthur close. "And you'll have me for as long as you'll have me, Arthur. Forever."

Because there's nothing that could tear him away from the man he loves.

"Sounds like a plan to me," he finds himself leaning into Eames. "Good because I plan on keeping you around forever."

And he keeps the people and things that are his. Including Eames. And was well aware that he was equally Eames' which was his favorite part.

Arthur calls them a car to take them to the patisserie and then their home. When they arrive at their place forty minutes later, he can feel the stress ease from his shoulders. Being here, in a place that was theirs always made him feel more relaxed. It was just them and no one else. No having to put on masks and be someone else.

"How close to finishing that piece are you? I was thinking next week I can cash in that favor for the Louve to make the exchange."

It's easy to pretend life is normal for a moment when they're in Paris. At least as normal as their life has ever been. But this is kind of where it all started for them, how they came to be, and so it feels right to be there.

Eames considers that and then nods. "I can definitely work with that. If I finished it up sometime tonight, I can treat it so that it shows on cursory exams that it's of the right period. I love making paints for ones this old. All the things I have to add and avoid."

Sometimes, it was still unusual being in Paris, not visiting with Mal and Cobb, and not coming off of a dream share job. But Paris was who they were and he felt at home in Paris as much as he felt at "home" anywhere.

"We do have a little more time so if you need another few days, that works just as well," he says, turning to look at Eames after locking the doors. He walks up to him and pushes his jacket off his shoulders.

"I think I owe someone some gratitude," he teases, trailing his fingers over Eames' shirt.

There was a time when Eames didn't think he would have a home, that he would have a place where he had his people. Now he has Arthur, and no matter where they are, that will be his home and he knows it.

Grinning as Arthur begins stripping him, loving that look in his partner's eyes in that moment. "Oh I know how hard that must be on you. However will you handle it," he teases, winking at Arthur as his hands tug at the other man's shirt so he can slide a hand over his stomach.

Arthur snorts as he starts to unbutton Eames' shirt and pushes it off his shoulders. "I think I can manage it very well, Mr. Eames," he teases with a smirk.

"Shoes off," he says and toes out of his so they can get undressed quicker. There wasn't anything else they must do today and he was going to take full advantage of being with Eames and not being on some job where the chances of them being shot at or stabbed were very high.

At the end of the day, much like Eames, wherever Eames was, that was Arthur's home. He knew it wasn't Paris - it wasn't even New York anymore. He just needed to be with this man who through all of their different jobs and careers had stayed by his side and become more important to him than anyone ever had before.

"I think you can manage just about anything I have, Darling," he purrs, because he loves it and he knows that it's utterly true. Arthur can handle anything. Especially where Eames is concerned.

He shifts to get rid of his shoes, moving to get his shirt the rest of the way off and toss it aside. Already moving so his hands can get on Arthur's body, that lean, toned, amazing body that he can't get enough of. The one man he needed more than anything in this world.

Arthur watches Eames undress with darkening eyes and licks at his bottom lip. "Mm, after this long, I should hope so," he says, looking into the other man's eyes with a little grin as he undresses down to his briefs.

He steps in and moves closer to the forger, wanting to feel that strong body press against his own. He moves a hand to the back of Eames' neck where the poker chip and dice are tattooed and squeezes just a little as his other hand trails down over his chest.

"What do you want, Mr. Eames," he murmurs, leaning in and kissing his lips. He'll never get tired of kissing and touching him.

"After this long," he repeats. It's something to marvel at sometimes, realizing how long they've been together. Years of training in one field and then another. Years of being on the front line of change in one way or another, or changing the world.

Eames sighs at that touch, loving the tattoo there and all it means. It's about them and it's beautiful and brings him into connection with the man standing before him.

He kisses Arthur as he runs his hands along his back, cradling the line of his hips and drawing him sharply in against him. "Ride me, Love? So I can watch you."

He makes a low noise from the back of his throat as Eames draws him in and deepens the kiss, scratching teasingly over his chest.

"Mm, would love to," he says, his voice low and husky as he looks at him. "You choose where," he says, leaning in and pressing biting kisses over his neck. "Our room, couch... it's been a little bit since we've gone room from room," he teases. He didn't really expect for them to go from room to room but he did enjoy the thought.

No one outside of Eames would probably even expect Arthur to be this way. It was only Eames who saw this side of the former Point.

"If you're offering, I may have to ask why not all of them," he teases, but he know it won't be today. Though it's not as if they haven't had those moments together, time and again, in every room of this house.

"The couch," he says with a rumble as he keeps him close. "So I can sit up and taste you while I'm feeling that sweet ass on me," he murmurs, already moving them towards the couch. "We still have lube in the table, right?"

Because he has this in his mind now and he really doesn't want to gave to go and find lube.

"We'll have to before we go back on active," he grins, pressing against his partner. He enjoyed those moments but not today.

Arthur makes a low noise as he thinks about it and nods, letting Eames move them back toward the couch. "Yeah, there should be a bottle in the side table." He bites down on Eames' shoulder before sucking on it. He needed the connection as much as Eames did and proof of his mark on Eames' body.

"Damn right we will," he groans, knowing that things have to slow down on active, the touching has to stop, and it will drive him nearly mad until they can find a moment to steal away with one another.

Eames groans, eyes closing even as he half lays to the side to stretch out for the lube. "More. I want them all on me when we go back."
