Adonis didn't think long about the fact that he trusted Nik. He simply did. Maybe it was because something deep down he recognized something familiar in Nik? He's unsure but he didn't think about it too long. It didn't matter really. Not when they were paired up together for the foreseeable future.

He was just dumping dirt to the side when Nik tells him that bit of news and blinks. "Huh," he says, not questioning whether he heard it correctly. He studies the other man for a minute and thinks back on what he remembers of Elijah. "Yeah, I can... sort of see it. Is that why we're able to get away with murder?"

Adonis glances down at the body before looking at Nik. "Literally?"
