Born in France. Moved to London when he was young due to his father being less than honest with the French government.

At some point, likely realizes that he could be diagnosable as a psychopath and works at least a little on passing for 'normal'/or like a human with emotions
He decides at some point to enroll in the Police Academy
He may not have a lot of feelings or empathy in general but he makes sure children are always looked after.
Finds a kindred person in Nik
There really was no alternative to joining the Black Ravens. It was either that, retire or be thrown in prison.
